Larimore Family Adventures

Croatia

July 25, 2024 by Kevin Larimore

We spent a few days on the island of Pag in Croatia at a giant campground with hundreds of sites, many restaurants, and a few different beaches on the Adriatic Sea. The water was extra salty so you could float easily without treading water. It was hot! It got up to around 100 degrees during the day and cooled off to around 85 at night. The girls had fun on a floating inflatable water park and we spent a day hiding from the heat under an umbrella on the beach and jumping into the water to cool off.

We all took a trip on a sailboat with skipper Allan and his first mate Luca. We motored to a nice swim spot at first when there was no wind, but later were able to sail to the island of Silba where we checked out a tower and a church, and had some ice cream to cool off before getting back on the boat to sail back and stop for another swim along the way. They had a nice playlist going including some yacht rock.

One night we went into the nearby town of Pag for a nice dinner and a few souvenirs. Croatia was beautiful but next time we will go when it isn’t a heat wave!
